Parking spots at the shopping mall are on sharing basis with the accompanying Hatten Hotel, but it is still plentiful, with up to 1,500 parking bays and specialized zones for lone female drivers. Hatten Square Suites and Shoppes is also interconnected with neighbouring Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade shopping malls, so you can easily cross over to other malls for more options.

The ground floor of Hatten Square Suites and Shoppes plays host to IT@Hatten, a specialised section dedicated for all things IT. Here you can find inexpensive computer accessories, alongside latest mobile phones, as popular cellphone makers Nokia and Samsung each have a branch here. The ground floor also sees the ice cream brand Haagen Dazs setting up its sole outlet in Malacca; and Movida, a restaurant cum lounge bar with alfresco dining areas and themed nights each day of the week.

Fashion-wise, Hatten Square Shoppes and Suites showcases plenty of options for colourful trendy, ladies’ clothes, all scattered in the first and second level. Prices are cheap, and while sizes tend to run a little bit small (true Asian sizing), expect to see a wide array of funky T-shirts, cotton skirts and tank tops, so if you’re looking for clothing pieces to wear while walking about in the sunny Malacca, this is a good place to start. Shops such as Hello Fashion House and Anna House are especially noteworthy, as they are chock-full of stylish dresses and tops, alongside accessories such as classy shoes and handbags. Those looking for some me-time will enjoy the Suksabai Thai Massage and Zuo Zu Kung Fu Reflexology residing on the second floor of Hatten Square Shoppes and Suites. Both offer great massages and body treatments to soothe tired muscles – all attractive prices – so you can always drop by after a long day of exploring.
